I made these green beans with bacon in the crock-pot for a family gathering and they were an instant favorite. See below for the recipe, cook and enjoy! You can also throw beans on the stove with any combination of these ingredients for a faster option. I’ve done this a few times this summer with bacon cooked on the grill. Extra delicious!
Crock-Pot Green Beans With Bacon
Easy flavorful green beans for any occasion.
Equipment
- slow cooker
- crock-pot
- knife
- cutting board
- stove
Ingredients
- 4 14.5 oz cans of green beans
- 12 oz center cut bacon (save bacon grease to use)
- 1 sweet yellow onion
- 3 Tbsp bacon grease from above
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 sprig rosemary or 1/4 tsp dried
Instructions
- Chop and then cook bacon. Do not drain bacon grease from the pan. Set some aside for sauce.
- In a small mixing bowl, add the bacon grease, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire, minced garlic, salt,pepper, and rosemary leaves. Whisk to combine.
- Drain green beans and add them to the slow cooker.
- Add the bacon and onions.
- Pour mixture from above over beans and stir.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Enjoy!
